Nevada County’s Community Development Agency (CDA) is one of the larger agencies in Nevada County, with over 135 employees and a budget of $33 million. The CDA provides fiscal, administrative, management, long-range planning, and coordination services that support the efforts, authority, and duties of five major departments and two divisions: Agricultural Commissioner, Building Department, Code Compliance Division, Environmental Health, Planning Department, Public Works Department (including Roads, Engineering, Wastewater Treatment Operations, and Transit Systems), and Farm Advisor Division. The ideal candidate will be uniquely qualified and bring a collaborative spirit and vision to the on-going management of Agency programs in order to continually balance the need to meet customer service levels within expected turn-around times for the various functional areas of the Agency. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of progressively responsible management and supervisory experience in one or more of the functional areas that comprise the Agency. Annual salary range is $138,014 – $168,486, plus an excellent benefits package.
