Hi there! My name is Asha Bleier. This year, I’ll be continuing my position on the Board as the Professional Development Officer for AICP. I started on the Board as Newsletter Editor in 2009. My day job is project manager at Dudek. I’ve been a CEQA practitioner and planner for over 10 years, and feel lucky to be part of the wonderful Dudek team. I’ve worked on a variety of projects including master-planned residential communities, mixed-use, active recreation, hospitals, school campuses and several renewable energy projects. I was also a member of the San Diego Complete Streets Task Force and co-author of the white paper, “From Policy to Pavement – Implementing Complete Streets in the San Diego Region,” published in spring 2012. My expertise led me to serve as a panelist on Circulate San Diego’s Move Alliance, which endorses early stage development projects in the San Diego region that demonstrate a commitment to transit-oriented development. My hobbies include tennis, running, reading and traveling, although there has not been much time for that with two little girls at home. Looking forward to meeting you all at the upcoming APA events!
