Mike Strong, our SDAPA Section Awards Chair, is the Assistant Planning Director for the City of Escondido, working on a range of projects that shape how we live in cities, communities, and regions of tomorrow.  Mike has been working in the public sector since his graduation from UC Davis (BA in Political Science/Economics).  He has a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Sacramento State University; and a Master’s degree in City Planning from San Diego State University. He has over 13 years of work experience in local government, previously working for the cities of Encinitas, Vista, and Carlsbad.
