My name is Mimi Morisaki and this is my second year serving as the SDSU Student Representative on the APA San Diego Board. In this position, I communicate with students and professors regarding upcoming APA events and free student membership enrollment. I am anticipating my Master of City Planning degree from SDSU this May! I also work at SANDAG as the Planning Assistant to the Long-Range and Binational Planning Division. When I am not working or studying, I practice yoga, read, go to the beach, cook, and try new restaurants.
Editor’s Note: In addition to graduating from SDSU on May 13th with her Masters in City Planning, Mimi has also won the following awards – very accomplished already!
- APA Professional Study Tour to London 2014
- Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) San Diego County Annual Conference Essay Scholarship 2015
- Caltrans District 11 Jacob Dekema Scholarship 2015
- American Public Transportation Foundation (APTF) Richard J. Bouchard Scholarship 2015
- Eno Center for Transportation Leadership Fellow 2016
- APA San Diego Protégé of the Year 2016
Congratulations Mimi!
