Hi, my name is Nick and I grew up here in San Diego. I observed a great deal of change in that time, and what I saw gives direction and fuel to my work now. I’m a proud member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and a multidisciplinary land use planner with a rich experience serving local, regional and state agencies in California. I earned my Bachelor of Science from California State University, Chico, where my Parks and Natural Resource Management study focused on community planning and public space in the built environment (as methodologies for conservation planning and public health). Today, my professional interests and pursuits have grown from that foundation, and I find great motivation in my conviction that we can absolutely cultivate the best possible human outcomes through the planning practices advanced by the American Planning Association. I’m now in my third year on the SDAPA Board, and as your 2016 Programs Co-Chair, I hope to build and energize the public discourse about equity, health, and resource planning in and around San Diego.
