I’m Tara Lieberman and I’m serving as the SDAPA Secretary. I am originally from San Diego, but moved to Canada to attend school at Queen’s University and University of Toronto. After graduating, I worked as an environmental scientist at an engineering and environmental consulting firm specializing in site assessments and environmental remediation. While on assignment performing post-hurricane Katrina salvage and restoration work in New Orleans, Louisiana, I was inspired to pursue a career in urban planning. I completed my Master’s Degree in City Planning at SDSU while working for the City of San Diego Planning Department. I currently work as an Environmental/Land Use Planner in Advance Planning for the County of San Diego. In my free time I enjoy hiking with my dog Harper, working in my backyard garden, and taking adventures to far off places.
