The County of Riverside is recruiting regionally for a highly experienced professional to serve as Planning Director. The successful candidate will have a broad background in all aspects of urban planning, land use, and environmental review with a public agency, and a strong track record of success in managing a multi-faceted department. The new Planning Director will work closely with the Transportation and Land Management Agency Director, County Executive Officer, Board of Supervisors, and other Agency officials. This senior-level executive will be results-driven, with well-grounded and ethical decision-making abilities, superior interpersonal and communication skills, and outstanding public speaking abilities. Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of progressively responsible experience is required. Master’s degree and/or AICP membership will be considered a plus. The annual salary range for the Planning Director is from $123,973 to $194,921 DOQ plus excellent benefits package. Review of resumes begins August 22, 2014.
