WSP is currently initiating a search for a Planning Intern for our Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, or Las Vegas offices for Summer 2021. This is a part-time position, with the possibility of part time work during the school year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • General planning support, including data collection, research, and documentation
  • Assist in analysis of geospatial, statistical, and operations data
  • Contribute to the development of transportation plans, corridor plans, transit plans, feasibility studies, alternatives analyses, community outreach materials, business development strategies, land use and urban planning and other analyses

Job Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Local candidates preferred. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship
  • Knowledge of land use, equity, transportation, transit, and active transportation planning practices and policies
  • Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
  • Experience participating in public and stakeholder outreach, including meetings and surveys
  • Familiarity with GIS applications and tools, e.g., ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online
  • Experience with graphic design software, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite
