Katz & Associates is a nationally recognized communication consulting firm. We help people communicate effectively about things that matter, providing support in public participation, community outreach, public affairs and stakeholder facilitation. We primarily serve government agencies in the areas of transportation, water, community and open space planning, and environmental review and compliance. Our work covers the entire life spans of projects, from planning to design and construction. Primary responsibilities for the open position include project management on assigned client accounts; public involvement and communications strategy formulation; meeting facilitation; informational materials preparation; online outreach and social media; day-to-day supervision and mentoring of junior staff; and participation in business development and expansion of client base.

We need staff members who have the experience and expertise to quickly become familiar with project issues and tasks from top to bottom to be able to foresee challenges and direct and teach support staff appropriately. The diversity of our staff’s educational, professional, and technical backgrounds is a plus for our clients.

Candidates should be able to manage multiple clients, projects, and tasks; produce quality client deliverables; effectively prioritize and delegate tasks; manage project teams; and have strong presentation skills for new business presentations and conferences.

Minimum requirements for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area
  • Minimum six years solid work experience, including experience with projects conducted for government clients
  • Supervisory experience

Not required but preferred:

  • Master’s degree in related area
  • Training in facilitation
