The nonprofit Media Arts Center – Digital Gym Cinema in North Park is pleased to inform APA Members that on Thursday July 20 at 6 p.m., they will be screening The Pruitt Igoe-Myth as part of their DG on the Blvd film series. The goal with this ongoing series is to showcase films that directly speak on the broad issues that might affect neighborhood development in San Diego. The Pruitt-Igoe Myth explores the social, economic and legislative issues that led to the decline of conventional public housing in America, and the city centers in which they were built, while tracing the personal and poignant narratives of several of the residents of the notorious Pruitt-Igoe public housing complex in St. Louis.
*Panel discussion following Screening! Special guests include:

Randy Van Vleck, Active Transportation Manager, City Heights CDC
Richard Seges Vice President, Real Estate and Finance, Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation
