Who We Are: The Young Planners Group of the San Diego Section of the American Planning Association (SDAPA YPG) was formed in the fall of 2009 with a vision to connect planners that are young in their planning ambitions with established planning professionals throughout the San Diego region.
What We Do: YPG provides emerging planners with opportunities to learn more about planning and related fields, build successful careers, expand social and professional networks, and ultimately become leaders in the planning profession and the local San Diego Section.
How to Get Involved: Committee members play an important role in coordinating YPG events. We are recruiting members for the Mentorship and Education and Community Service Committees. YPG’s Mentorship and Education Committee coordinates the annual Mentorship Program, Graduate Programs in Planning Panel, and Lunch and Learns. The Community Service Committee organizes a Bike to Work Day Pit Stop and Summer of Service events.
If you are interested in serving on a YPG Committee, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your name, school or place of work, committee of interest, a brief paragraph on what you hope to accomplish as a committee member, and a short bio by September 30, 2015.
